Maverick Theatre Company's MavLab at UTA March 22-25
The University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Theatre Company presents MavLab. Experience the innovative plays that are the Maverick Theatre Company’s MavLab! This semester’s series includes THE RISE AND RISE OF DANIEL ROCKET by Peter Parnell and GRACE by Craig Wright. Production dates are March 22 – March 25, 2018. All MavLab productions are rated PG-13.
Surrounded by taunting peers, Daniel Rocket finds the strength to literally fly above them all. THE RISE AND RISE OF DANIEL ROCKET is a nostalgic yet relative tale of youth, loneliness and the power of believing in others as well as yourself. This play will be presented on March 22 and March 24 at 8 pm at 502 S. Cooper Street, The Studio Theatre, Room 137 of Fine Arts Building North.
In GRACE, sweet, Christian couple move to Florida from Minnesota on a mission to create a Gospel-themed hotel chain. Religious debates with their atheist neighbor and frequent visits from the local bug exterminator quickly turn this seemingly innocent business venture into a grisly crime scene. GRACE will be presented on March 23 at 8pm and March 25 at 2:30pm at 502 S. Cooper Street, The Studio Theatre, Room 137 of Fine Arts Building North.
Tickets are $10 for general public and $8 for students/senior citizens/UTA faculty and staff. For further information, please contact the UT Arlington Department of Theatre Arts box office at 817.272.2669.
