Our local artisans and collectors come from a variety of backgrounds but they all share an enthusiasm for what they create and collect. In addition, on most Saturdays you can watch local artisans create and ask them about their craft. Check back (below) as more info becomes available and to see which artisans & collectors will be participating in the following Happy Holidays Happenings.

Happy Holidays Gift Store
Everyday during the Mitch Wilson Memorial Festival of Trees at AMA

Located on the mezzanine level of the AMA, Happy Holidays Gift Store offers an extraordinary shopping experience. Handcrafted, many one of a kind, creations by local artisans and vintage finds from local collectors will fill the middle gallery.

Watch the list below grow as we welcome new and returning artisans to this year's gift store. You can get more of a feel for what types of items they will have to offer by clicking their image, if they have an online presence.

Happy Holidays Gift Market
Saturday, Dec. 6 (10 am - 6 pm) - Sunday, Dec. 7 (1 pm -5 pm)

Happy Holidays Gift Market is another of the three Happy Holidays Happenings brought to you by 817ArtsAlliance in conjunction with the Festival of Trees at the Arlington Museum of Art (AMA). Join additional artisans and collectors for an expanded weekend of holiday shopping at AMA. Unique handmade items and vintage finds will be found on three floors of the AMA in addition to the Happy Holidays Gift Store.

On Saturday, Dec. 6 after the Happy Holidays Gift Market closes, head outside to see Arlington's Holiday Lights Parade.

Mitch Wilson Memorial Festival of Trees
Arlington Museum of Art

The Mitch Wilson Memorial Festival of Trees runs from Nov. 15 - Dec. 28, 2014. A festive selection of decorated trees and holiday art will fill much of the museum. In addition, the Happy Holidays Gift Store will be back and stocked with creations by local artisans and finds from vintage collectors. An extended Holiday Market will snake through the museum on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7.

Regular museum hours will apply with free parking in downtown Arlington. The Festival of Trees and Happy Holidays Happenings are free to public as a gift to the community, however if you like what you see, donations are always appreciated.
