University of Texas at Arlington’s Department of Theatre Arts presents HARVEY

Playwright Mary Chase won the Pulitzer Prize for this delightful and insightful comedy about seeking happiness, identity, and acceptance of those who are different, and courtesy towards others in our everyday lives. This is the 75th anniversary of the play’s Broadway opening which ran for nearly five years. It has been revived frequently, made into a successful movie, and is performed regularly throughout the world.

Elwood P. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey is an imaginary six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit.

HARVEY features members of UTA’s Maverick Theatre Company and will be presented in the UT Arlington Mainstage Theatre (Fine Arts Building, North Section, Room 174 near the Gallery) located at 502 South Cooper Street on the UTA campus. Performances of HARVEY are October 9, 10, 11, 12 at 7:30 pm, and October 13 at 2:00 pm, 2019. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $8 for students/senior citizens/UTA faculty & staff. For tickets please call 817-272-9595 or visit UTAtickets.com. For further information, please visit the UTA Department of Theatre Arts' website.
