Timeless Concerts will be back at the Rose Garden Tea Room on Sat. April 23, 8 pm to perform their Spain to Latin America concert.
Tenor Sergio Cepeda and soprano Sabrina Romero-Wilson perform romantic and charming songs of Latin America, and Zarzuela of Spain (Spanish traditional musical comedy). Timeless Concerts has permission by Héctor Armienta, the composer of "Zorro", the opera premiered by the Ft Worth Opera Company, to perform a duet from his opera and arrange the accompaniment for their instrumentalists. Pianist Heejung Kang, violinist LeeAnne Chenoweth, violist Tim Angel and cellist Oliver Schlaffer will perform the 3 movement quartet of Joaquin Turina of Spain (1890-1949), as well as works of Astor Piazzolla of Argentina (1921-1992), Manuel Ponce (1882-1948) of Mexico and more. As usual, the post-concert party will feature pianist Erik Barnes, and complimentary soft drinks, wine and snacks will be provided.
Seating is assigned in order of ticket purchases; those who purchase tickets early will have seats closer to the performers than those who buy later. Also, if wanting to be seated in a group, please purchase tickets as a group, or write in the "notes" the name of the person you would like to join. One youth may attend free per paying adult, but please let them know if bringing a youth so there are enough seats provided. The venue is set up for tables for 8, or private tables for 2.
