May 14, 2022 Noon-8pm
The 2022 West Main Arts Festival will expand beyond the 200 and 300 blocks of West Main St. in the Cultural District of Downtown Arlington and will include over 100 art booths, 12 food trucks, food vendors and a beer and wine garden. This year 2 blocks have been added to include Pecan Street for a connection to the Levitt Pavilion grounds. The Arlington Public Library will provide an interactive kids area on the lawn between the Downton Library and City Hall.
This 5 block stretch of West Main includes the Arlington Museum of Art, Dance Theater Arlington, Theater Arlington, Arlington Public Library and the Create Arlington Studios and Gallery.
New for 2022 are community murals. Kids and adults will be able to participate in creating the murals on 8'x7' walls. The murals will be painted with the direction of Create Arlington Resident Artists.
The event will also feature 3 stages and 30 local bands along with buskers playing along West Main. Bring your lawn chairs to relax and listen to the music. This is a family friendly event and pets are welcome! There will also be plenty of open space on the street for kids and adults to bring their bikes or scooters to enjoy the Downtown streets.
This festival was originally created by Arlington residents to support artists and musicians in the Arlington area.
