VIA DANCE presented by the Maverick Dance Company Dec. 6-8, 2019

Maverick Dance Company presents VIA DANCE, a collection of new, entertaining, and progressive dance works running December 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2019. The concert title, VIA DANCE, is based on a perspective that, through dance, we can communicate what is often challenging to put into words and that dance can simultaneously speak many languages and connect us on a visceral level. Faculty choreographers Artistic Director Amanda Jackson and Associate Artistic Director Whitney Coleman Talbot are joined by student choreographers: Taylor Anderson, Valerie Arruda, Yesenia Barrera, Darcy Doyle, Emily Finley, Bradley Kelm, Megan Medina, and Rachel Nabarrete. VIA DANCE includes a variety of dance styles.

VIA DANCE is presented in the UTA Mainstage Theatre (Fine Arts Building, North Section, Room 174) located at 502 South Cooper Street on the UTA campus. Performances of VIA DANCE are December 6th & 7th at 7:30 p.m. and December 8th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $8 for students/senior citizens/UTA faculty & staff. UTA's Department of Theatre Arts Presents the World Premiere of Princess Mia April 11, 13, 14, 16 & 18

The University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Theatre Company presents PRINCESS MIA by Mary Rohde Scudday. The story of two women whose very different worlds collide. An older half-sister is suddenly faced with the guardianship for her intellectually disabled sibling...a half-sister she never even knew existed until the sudden death of their father. A World Premiere production written by the Rockefeller Playwriting Fellowship-winner Mary Rohde Scudday of San Antonio, her play LADY BUG, LADY BUG FLY AWAY HOME was also the Kennedy Center nominee as one of the best ten plays produced outside of New York.

PRINCESS MIA is presented in the UTA Mainstage Theatre (Fine Arts Building, North Section, Room 174) located at 502 South Cooper Street. Experience A Midsummer Night's Dream at UTA Nov. 15-19


The University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Theatre Company presents A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. In the Bard’s most enchanting comedy, young lovers find themselves in the middle of a dispute between the King and Queen of the fairies. This play runs from Nov. 15 through Nov. 19th, 2017. A Midsummer Night's Dream is rated PG for sexual innuendo and mild language.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will be presented in the UT Arlington Mainstage Theatre (Fine Arts Building, North Section), Room 174. Performances are Nov. 15, 16, 17, 18 at 8:00 pm and November 19 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $10 for general public and $8 for students/senior citizens/UTA faculty & staff.

DTA Presents Teen Talent Follies 2017

Dance Theatre of Arlington invites you to Teen Talent Follies 2017 on Sunday, March 26 at UTA's Mainstage Theater at 6:00pm.

The high-point winner will receive the Persis Forster Award and $1500! Overall, $3000 will be awarded to talented teens 7th-12th grade. Past Follies performers include Arlingtonites Tim Rushlow of Little Texas, Dylan Chambers - solo artist and Dancing with the Stars band and Mitch, Kirstie and Scott of Pentatonix.
